Trade enquiries

For architects, designers, builders, and developers

Forge works with trade clients on residential and commercial projects across New Zealand. If you are specifying outdoor kitchens or fireplaces for a client, working out budgets at concept stage, or coordinating an install as part of a larger build, this page is for you.

What we offer trade clients

  • Direct technical contact. You deal with someone who can answer build, finish, and fitment questions, not a generic enquiries inbox.
  • Specification support. Dimensions, materials, fitment for built-in BBQs and kamados, weight and load data for structural sign-off, finishes and colours. We provide what you need for documentation.
  • Trade pricing. Available on multi-unit projects and qualified trade accounts. Get in touch with the project scope and we will quote.
  • Site coordination. We work with your builder, plumber, and gas fitter on install timing. Site prep guidance is in our Site preparation guide.
  • Lead time visibility. Standard lead time is 10 to 14 weeks for both kitchens and fireplaces. We will give you a more specific window once we understand the project timeline so you can plan around it.

How to engage

The best starting point is a brief email to hello@forgeoutdoor.co.nz with:

  • A short description of the project and location
  • Approximate timeline (concept, documentation, site start)
  • Any drawings, mood boards, or references you have
  • Whether you are after a kitchen, a fireplace, or both, and any layout preferences

If the project is complex, suits a site visit, or you want to talk through options before documenting, we are happy to meet on site or via video call.

Where Forge fits

Forge cabinetry suits projects where the outdoor kitchen needs to look right and stay looking right for the life of the home. The cabinet body is marine-grade 6063-T5 aluminium. Benchtops are 12 mm sintered stone. Hardware is stainless. Full materials detail is on the Materials and construction page.

The fireplace range is cast concrete, wood-burning, semi-customisable. Suits projects where the outdoor space is being designed for use beyond summer.

Where we are not the right fit:

  • Budget-driven projects where the kitchen needs to be under $15,000. Our entry pricing for an installed Compact kitchen sits in the low $20,000s.
  • Projects requiring full custom layouts beyond our Compact, Host, and Chef configurations. We work with our standard kit.
  • Sites significantly outside the Auckland region, unless project value justifies the extended logistics. Talk to us early.

We would rather tell you up front when we are not the right fit than waste your time at quote stage.
